Siblings:

Martha 1894-1978 (registered Bishops Stortford).

All three sisters were in High Wych with their parents on the 1901 census but only Frances was on the 1911 census.

First World War Experience

Trained in Princess Patricia’s Canadian Red Cross Hospital, Cooden, Bexhill-on-sea in 1918.

Frances, Martha and Bessie Nottage are said by the family to have trained as VAD nurses at Princess Patricia’s Canadian Red Cross Hospital, Cooden, Bexhill, in 1918 and then travelled to a hospital in Rouen, France. The exact location is not known. The family have a group photograph of all staff at Princess Patricia’s Hospital in July 1918.
