First World War Experience

Harry enlisted at Hastings on 26th February 1916. He joined No.3 Depot Royal Field Artillery on the 28th April 1916.

He had an 18 day stay in hospital at Portsmouth in November 1916 with influenza. He was then posted to France on the 14th December 1916 and then to a Divisional Ammunition Column on 25th December 1916.

On the 7th March 1919 he was posted to the 246th Brigade and served in Germany from 2nd April 1919 before attending Crystal Palace for discharge on 16th September 1919.
