Our Merryweather’s day out

Two gentle giants – shire horses Rick & Flint – meet our own heavy metal hero, the 1895 Bexhill Merryweather fire engine, on Monday 28 October, 2.00-4.00pm in Egerton Park by Bexhill Museum (weather permitting). It will be the first time our newly restored Merryweather will be attached to a pair of horses in nearly 100 years. It was meant to be – come and watch and bring your cameras! Our friends from East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (ESFRS) will also bring their newest fire engine, for a bit of old and new Bexhill firefighting technology, side by side.
