The King’s German Legion and their Bankers

These records, on how the Army dealt with the financial side of their business, may seem not seem very exciting but, the information they give show a side of life in Bexhill that otherwise might not be known.

The Army Agency (the “Bankers”) was a company called Greenwood, Cox and Company and it is from their records, held by Lloyds TSB Group, in Lombard Street, London that these scanned images were taken.
