The Access Centre has many hardcopy documents on local history and family history, including records of births, deaths, and marriages, census returns, street directories and maps. There is information on shops, churches, schools, and entertainment, over the many decades.
You can read histories on Bexhill and Little Common, choose the King’s German Legion, smuggling or learn about Bexhill’s transport through the ages – horse and cart, the motor car, trams, trolley-buses, trains and the railway stations.
Bexhill Museum thanks the National Lottery & Arts Council England and the European Regional Development Fund via the South East Creatives Cultural and Digital Sector Programme.
