The Women’s Land Army

Speaker Ian Everest looks at the history of Britain’s wartime Women’s Land Army. Often referred to as the ‘Cinderellas of the Fields’, this talk will look at how it started, its role during two world wars and its recognition in more recent times. Photographs will show the women at work and the speaker will look at the huge contribution they made in feeding the country during wartime.
